What do studies say about using CBD for pain relief

According to medical advice in a 2008 study in the journal Therapeutics and Clinical Risk Management, a randomised clinical trial showed that CBD was effective in treating difficult-to-manage chronic pain associated with multiple sclerosis.

The study states that this is in large part due to the role of the body’s endocannabinoid system in the regulation of pain. This resulted in the Canadian legalisation of a CBD-containing drug, Sativex, for the treatment of both multiple sclerosis pain and pain associated with cancer.
